What is the Purpose of the Assessment?

Event held at the beginning of each semester to bring all of the faculty and staff together to experience Assessment at EMCC and share out.

Describe the necessity for this assessment

The only change that was implemented for this presentation was the need to verbally share more information with everyone which did not allow for as much interaction or time to work on CATS.

Describe how the practice will be implemented

The CATS of the Month winners shared their ideas and experiences with everyone, the Guided Pathways college representative shared the link between Guided Pathways, the changes being implemented in assessment of the General Education Abilities as well as HLC accreditation.

Interpret, compare, and describe the results

There was positive feedback from the faculty and staff.  Many had a better understanding of the connection to the district transformation, streamlining assessment at EMCC and HLC.  They also appreciated the opportunity to hear what the faculty and staff were doing to implement innovative assessment at EMCC.  Recommendations for changes was primarily focused on desiring more interaction and the feeling of information overload.  See attached file for more information.

After analyzing, and reflecting on the outcome, what are the next steps?

This semester will see the roll out of the streamlined General Education Abilities, the New GenEd Volunteer Form and Rubrics, the New CATS Form, the New SLO's Form as well as the completion of the student learning outcomes for the top 20 courses as well as student services.
