What is the Purpose of the Assessment?

Knowledge of correct APA format. 

Describe the necessity for this assessment

A large number of students do not provide correctly formatted APA references. Through observation, students fail to format article and journal titles correctly. 

Describe how the practice will be implemented

I will implement activites that increas awareness of correct APA format. This will be done with interactive activites and quiz. 

Interpret, compare, and describe the results

I will compare an assignment before the activities and quizzes to the final paper so see if students now provide correctly APA formatted references. I will also use the quiz scores to evaluate how well they have understood and noticed the most important reference elements. 

After analyzing, and reflecting on the outcome, what are the next steps?

If the activities and quiz are affective, I will adopt these as regular practices in my classes.
